Veggie Menace is a 2D run-and-gun in which you play as Megi, a little witch in charge of defeating an invasion of magically altered vegetables running amok. This project was completely built in C++ from scratch by a team of six programmers and three artists. In this project I was in charge of overseeing the engine of the game, develop the structure of the engine, and helping my teammates with issues on their tasks. For this project I implemented the graphics pipeline, the asset pipeline, added the Spine API for animations, the UI system, controller implementation, event system and optimized the enemy AI. The highlights of this project are the shadows of the player and the enemies by detecting when they were on the ground my checking a prerendered mask and animation manipulation when shooting with the main character.
